Welcome back to another experiment in the kitchen with Liv! Today we are making a super tasty banana bread recipe, brought to you by a recipe from the ever perfect Martha Stewart. I mean is there anything she can’t do?
This banana bread was such a hit! It was especially great for me because it was so easy to whip up! In an hour you can make an amazing breakfast, snack, dessert (honestly I could eat it for every meal and be a happy camper!) that everyone in your life could enjoy! You definitely need this in your life. Go Martha!
1 stick of butter
1 cup of sugar
1.5 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup mashed very ripe bananas
1/2 cup of sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a bread pan and set aside.
- With an electric mixer, cream butter.Add in the sugar and beat until fluffy. Add in the eggs and mix well.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl, and then add to the butter mixture.Add in the bananas, sour cream, and vanilla and mix in. Softly stir in the nuts.
- Pour the mixture into bread pan and bake for one hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
- Let cool and enjoy!
